Eastwood Netball Club was started in 1974 with one team and just 9 players. It has grown over the years and we have approximately 150 members with 16 teams in four leagues.

We take girls from school year 6 and we provide performance based netball training so that they can develop their skills and athleticism. Match play starts with Eastwood teams playing in the Chelmsford Junior League on Saturday mornings against other local junior club teams.

Usually teams start to play in the Basildon and District senior league once they are in year 9 or 10 depending on the player’s performance and abilities.  Eastwood are a major club in that league and we have six teams spread throughout the league’s 10 divisions.

Our high level focus of competition is the East Region Clubs League where we feature in Division 2 and we play against sides across East Anglia. The East Region League is part of the National competitive structure and this league feeds into the National Premier league. The Under 16 squad also play in the East Region Youth League which is part of the England Netball National Clubs competition.

The training is supervised and undertaken by qualified coaches at UKCC levels 1, 2 and 3. There are 2 x level 3 coaches, 3 x level 2 and 4 x Level 1 and they are assisted by some of our older Junior Players who play at a high level or volunteer as part of their work under the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

The club has Sport England Clubmark accreditation through the England Netball CAPS process.

We have a Safeguarding policy and all coaches and support personnel hold valid DBS checks.

The club has a privacy policy as required by the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 and a copy is available here.

Our playing kit for junior matches consists of white tops, purple skirts and white socks for the year 7's The tops have velcro strips to hold the patch bibs. Older girls and the teams playing in the Basildon League wear purple, black and white dresses as seen in the pictures on our News page.  The Regional squad wear yellow black and purple dresses as shown on the home page picture .

Kit is available for purchase from the club on application either at training or use the Contact Us page.
